Hey Eagles Fans…

Don’t miss out on any of the action – head on over to the Athletics website for upcoming competitions, season standings, stats, and links to game live streams. Don’t forget to tag your social media posts with #GoPostEagles – we’ll share our favorites on the digital screens around campus, on the official Post University accounts, and in this newsletter!

The Nest Network, started this year, is home of all Post University home athletic contests and looks to expand across the entire Post community which reaches an international level with its scope of students, student-athletes, faculty/staff, families, and businesses who tune into the institution’s streams throughout the year.  These streams also include play-by-play commentary and multi-camera views.

We’re In Your Corner

Take an emotional wellness self-check

We know keeping up with your studies can be difficult any time of the year. We are here for you, in and out of the classroom. Our tenet—“Post Makes It Personal®”—covers more than your studies. We are here to support the whole you. We want you to know that academically, personally, and emotionally …

We are in your corner and on your side!

October is Emotional Wellness Month, making it the perfect time to take a self-check on your mental well-being. Start with a Mental Health Screening, an online screening of your behavioral health. If this self-check finds you in doubt or distress, find help at Post:

And we offer one more resource—your personal advisor.

Remember, we are here for you.

Your personal advisor wants to help you find the resources you need to succeed in your classes and in life. Whether you want emotional support, help with your studies, or just need to connect, reach out and access these resources today.

We will be with you every step of the way.

The School of Arts & Sciences is Celebrating STEAMtober All Month Long

The second annual “STEAMtober” celebration is on the October calendar, honoring the School of Arts and Sciences’ programs and disciplines with events and opportunities for students online and on campus.

The monthlong celebration uses the acronym STEAM, which represents the school’s focus on Sciences (Biology), Technology (Computer Information Systems), Equine Studies and English, Arts (Art, Music, Communication & Media Studies) and Math (Data Science), as well as other liberal arts’ subjects.

Here are just some of the month’s activities and events:

  • From Oct. 18 to Oct. 25, the Equine Studies program will feature livestreams of equine events in MacDermid room 212. On Oct. 25, a live recording of “A Time for Horses” podcast will be in MacDermid 116.
  • The English program will host a week of Flash Fiction workshops and a contest, co-sponsored by the Center for Academic Success, in its classes during the week of Oct. 16. An Open Mic Night, featuring the talents of students and faculty, will be Oct. 26 in MacDermid Hall 115. The Post community is encouraged to share original works, including poetry, spoken word and music.
  • From Oct. 22 to Oct. 25, the Communication & Media Studies program will honor Media Literacy with a special “Communication Conquest” for students. Campus and online students in COM classes can participate in a Post U.-focused in-person or virtual scavenger hunt for information.
