Waterbury PAL has over 1,100 youth boys and girls who participate in the year-round basketball program. The program includes three divisions: co-ed teams for youth ages 4-6, boys and girls teams for ages 7-14 and a boys high school league for ages 15-17.

Participants must be between the ages of four and 18. Annual registration is $30.

“This community partnership will continue to ensure that PAL can provide our youth a variety of basketball programs in a safe environment while building mentoring relationships between cops and kids,” explained Lieutenant Ryan Bessette, Officer In Charge of Waterbury Police Department Community Relations Division.

The Waterbury PAL sponsorship is the most recent example of Post’s commitment to its surrounding community and history supporting local organizations that positively impact the community’s youth. Most notably, the university partnered with the Connecticut Sun, a Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) team, to expand access to higher education.
