The Center for Executive and Workforce Development (CEWD)

The Center for Executive and Workforce Development (CEWD) focuses on development of professional development opportunities, executive and leadership development, meeting the needs of our business partners, and supporting the other Malcolm Baldrige Centers of Excellence.

The Center is designed to provide students, alumni, associates and others with lifelong learning and skill development opportunities. In conjunction with an advisory board of business professionals the Center continually looks for areas where additional development would be of benefit for our stakeholders.

Utilizing adult learning theory, the courses in the Center for Executive and Workforce Development are developed in a non-traditional format. Rather than an 8-hour day-long seminar, the Center offers courses that run over several weeks, covering relevant topics, and allowing for practice and reflection. This methodology provides for a more meaningful experience and creates an environment where more learning takes place and participants can immediately apply what they are learning.

Mission

To be the class leaders in offering Executive Workforce Development. The Center values practical learning, relevant to today’s market and translatable in practice within a learner’s field.

Vision

The Center for Executive and Workforce Development exists to help our business partners and our students grow within their careers.
