WATERBURY, Conn. – (November 1, 2023) – Post University is pleased to announce that applications are open for its prestigious The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business (MBSOB) scholarship. The four-year, full-tuition award is offered annually to two exceptional students pursuing their dreams of securing a top-tier business education without the financial burden of tuition fees.

In addition to full tuition coverage, scholarship recipients receive mentorship from esteemed faculty, access to exclusive networking opportunities, and hands-on, real-world projects that will equip them with the skills needed to excel in the competitive business world.

“This MBSOB scholarship is not just a financial award; we view this award as an investment in the business leaders of tomorrow,” said The Malcom Baldrige School of Business Interim Dean Alisa Hunt, Ph.D.. “I encourage all incoming freshmen who want to pursue a career in business to apply.”

Named in honor of the late Malcolm Baldrige who served as U.S. Secretary of Commerce from 1981 to 1987, the scholarship recognizes students who exemplify the principles that defined his remarkable career: dedication to excellence, commitment to ethical business practices, and a drive to make a positive impact.

Applicants must enroll as full-time residential students and have an unweighted high school grade point average of at least 3.65. Standardized test scores will not be used to determine this year’s recipients. However, students can submit test scores to help strengthen their overall application. Other eligibility criteria apply.

To apply for The Malcolm Baldrige Scholarship, applications must include:

  • a completed scholarship application form
  • high school transcript
  • resume detailing student activities, community service, leadership experience, and any work experience
  • two letters of recommendation from an individual (teacher or employer) addressing the applicant’s academic abilities
  • a 500-word essay detailing what an organization’s role is, or should be, in promoting social responsibility

Students are selected by the Admissions Committee and Business Faculty Readers based on academic excellence and commitment to quality.

Completed applications must be emailed to [email protected] no later than Thursday, February 1, 2024.
