The generous community of faculty, and associates donated more than $1.1 million in five year period.

WATERBURY, Conn. – (December 20, 2023) – In the spirit of the giving season, Post University associates have raised an impressive $332,113 to support the “Help Every Voice Be Heard” annual campaign for the United Way of Greater Waterbury. The matched contribution campaign resulted in the largest-ever donation in Post’s history.

This achievement is the most recent example of the University’s ongoing commitment to philanthropy. This year, a record-breaking 150 associates and faculty participated in Post’s campaign – a 15 percent participation.  This was a three percent increase from prior year.  Between 2018 and 2023, the University has donated over $1.1 million to support the United Way of Greater Waterbury’s vital initiatives

“Waterbury is a special community that Post University and I are proud to call home,” said Stephanie Caban, Management Program Chair and Chief Diversity Officer in The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University and Chair of the University’s United Way Campaign. “Our commitment to our community and neighbors runs deep. I am profoundly moved by the remarkable generosity exhibited by my colleagues and beyond delighted that we could make this significant and meaningful contribution to the United Way of Greater Waterbury.”

Marking its 81st anniversary of dedicated service to the Waterbury community and its surrounding areas, the United Way of Greater Waterbury annual campaign aims to secure essential funding for programs that address critical regional issues including homelessness, educational access, and financial stability.
