Promissory Note - for Students in the American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences Only

Many organizations who provide employer tuition reimbursement require their employees to first complete the course prior to disbursing the reimbursement.  To assist students with such a tuition reimbursement policy, American Sentinel College offers the benefit of deferring payment for a course until after the course has completed allowing a student time to secure their reimbursement.  In lieu of payment, a completed promissory note must be submitted at time of registration.

This payment option is available to students who are employed by or are members of organizations that American Sentinel College has established a partnership with.  Students must also confirm they have been approved to receive tuition reimbursement through their organization.  If you are unsure if your employer/organization is partnered with the university, please contact an Admissions Advisor at 1.866.922.5690. If you meet the conditions above and are approved to use a promissory note, a valid debit/credit card must be provided on the promissory note. The university will automatically charge the card provided thirty (30) or sixty (60) days after the course completion date depending on the terms listed on the note.  Ultimately, it is the student’s responsibility to understand their organization’s reimbursement policy and to ensure they meet the criteria to receive reimbursement.

Policies

Late Payments

Payments are due as established by the monthly payment plan agreements. Payments must be made on, or before, the set due date(s) or late payment fees will apply. If circumstances are such that payments cannot be made by the scheduled due date(s), students must contact the Office of Student Accounts to make special payment arrangements. These arrangements must be made in writing and agreed to by the student and the Office of Student Accounts no later than one week prior to the payment due date(s). An account that is not current could result in removal from classes or athletic activities, denial of registration for courses, withholding transcripts and diplomas. Students who are removed from classes may be administratively withdrawn from Post University.

Failure to Pay

Campus and Accelerated Degree Students

All tuition and fee charges must be paid by the end of the current term in which the charges were applied.  If circumstances are such that payments cannot be made by the set due date, students must contact their Financial Aid Advisor to discuss payment arrangements.  An account that is not current will result in denial of registration for courses, withholding of transcripts and degrees.

Students who owe a balance without an acceptable payment arrangement or other source of funding in place to cover these charges will be removed from class, placed on a registration hold, and be administratively withdrawn in accordance with Post University policy. Students in Accelerated Degree Program courses may have their access to Blackboard restricted.
