Military Appreciation Month

May, marked officially as Military Appreciation Month, is a special month for both those in and out of the military.

Not only do we pause on Memorial Day to remember the sacrifice and service of those who gave all, but the month also holds several other military anniversaries and events, including Military Spouse Appreciation Day and Armed Forces day.

It is a time to honor the service and sacrifice of members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, Space Force and National Guard as well as the contribution of their spouses.

In these photos are Post military students.  In the first photo, Karl Miller congratulates SFC McQuay, who will graduate this month. Her academic accomplishments include making the President’s List.  In the second photo, SSG Wells is another soon-to-be Post graduate.  Next to him is SSG Maggay, a current student.  In the last photo, Miller is with another group of current Post students, some of whom will also be finishing their degrees.

Survey Opportunity

You are invited to participate in the data collection of a doctoral student from Southern CT State University.  The doctoral dissertation study entitled, A Framework for Success: A Case Study Analysis of the Perceived Efficacy of Veteran Friendly Practices in Two Universities, is focused on examining the experiences of US Military personnel who are students in an online remote learning higher education setting or those who are enrolled in a traditional ground-based (brick and mortar) university.  Information regarding the reported experiences of students who are military in either setting is often presented generally.  This research study is seeking to identify and confirm factors concerning the higher education experiences of students who are military that have the potential to support military personnel student success pursuing higher education.

To participate in the study, please click or copy and paste the following URL:

We are assured that the study is structured to protect the anonymity of all who choose to participate. Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated by the doctoral student conducting this research.  Post University is supportive of the efforts of the researcher and approves the invitation for you to participate.  While the decision is yours alone, Post University has provided permission to Michael Kuszpa to request your support of his efforts to collect data from our students who are military veterans.
